Terms of Service
Last updated: May 24, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Koby ("Koby", "we", "our", "us"), a Slack application that helps managers give regular feedback to their teams. By installing or using Koby, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The Service
Koby provides tools within Slack to help managers track feedback coverage, receive nudges, draft feedback with AI assistance, and view team analytics. Features may evolve over time. We may add, change, or remove features with reasonable notice when changes materially affect your use of the service.
2. Eligibility & Slack Workspace
Koby is intended for professional workplace use. You must be authorized to install applications on your Slack workspace. By installing Koby, you represent that you have authority to bind your organization to these Terms. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Koby complies with your organization's policies and applicable law.
3. Accounts & Access
- Access to Koby is provided through your Slack account and workspace permissions.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Slack credentials and for all activity under your account.
- Workspace administrators control installation, configuration, and removal of Koby.
4. Free Trial & Fees
Koby may offer a free trial period. After the trial, continued use may require a paid subscription. Pricing, billing cycles, and plan details will be communicated at signup or renewal. Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise specified.
We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable advance notice. Price changes apply to subsequent billing periods.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Koby in violation of Slack's terms, policies, or API guidelines.
- Submit unlawful, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise harmful content through the service.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure.
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others.
- Use Koby to process data you are not authorized to share.
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or pose a risk to the service or other users.
6. AI-Assisted Features
Koby may use artificial intelligence (including third-party models such as Anthropic's Claude) to suggest or draft feedback. AI-generated content is provided as a draft only. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all content before sending it to team members. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated suggestions.
7. Your Content
You retain ownership of feedback and other content you submit through Koby. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to provide and improve the service. Our use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
Koby, including its software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the service as intended.
9. Third-Party Services
Koby integrates with Slack and may rely on third-party providers (including hosting, analytics, and AI services). Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.
10. Data & Privacy
Our collection and use of data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Koby, you acknowledge that you have read and understood it. If you uninstall Koby, we will handle data deletion as described in the Privacy Policy and Slack's developer requirements.
11. Termination
- You may stop using Koby at any time by uninstalling the app from your Slack workspace.
- We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or to protect the service.
- Upon termination, your right to use Koby ends. Provisions that by nature should survive (including limitations of liability) will remain in effect.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
Koby is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from your use of Koby. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us for Koby in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or one hundred euros (€100) if you have not paid any fees.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify workspace administrators of material changes via Slack or email. Continued use of Koby after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Paris, France, unless mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.
